I don't know about all of you, but I'm definitely ready for some warm weather. It's gorgeous out in Boston today, which could mean Spring is finally here or we could have another snowstorm tomorrow. You never know with the weather here. Either way, these photographs of the Mediterranean coast by Spanish photographer and graphic designer Salva López seem to fit the winter to spring transition perfectly.

In his project that lasts all winter called La Costa Gris, López captures the beaches during their off season and the noticeable absence of tourists. I like the loneliness of the images and of the objects left behind by people that still signify a human impression on the landscape despite the lack of actual human presence. It makes me think maybe the beaches miss us as much as we do, and even though it's not warm enough for a swim yet, I'm definitely ready to throw on a light jacket and start dipping my toes in the ocean. Now, who's going to give me a ride to the beach?
