Trompe-L'Oeil

Take a look at these amazing installations by artist Alexa Meade who has developed a Trompe-L'Oeil painting technique that involves painting on top of found objects and models. Her painting takes a 3-d model and gives them a flattened 2-D appearance. I especially like the walking painting sort of effect the man in the third image has and the reactions of the people riding the subway with him. He looks like he just stepped off of a canvas. Such a cool concept!
