On the road again…

We are as far from cartographers as it gets, but for some reason, we're always designing maps. Street maps, state maps, you name it–Pinkergreen has done it. Therefore, we're always looking for new inspiration for how to design them and I just fell in love the quilted maps from Haptic Lab via Apartment Therapy. When will someone pay for us to sew!!?

Pixeltastic

Last night we went to a launch party for a new company called Rock Art, at Artaic on Drydock Ave. Their team, a collaboration of engineers and creatives, have developed some pretty amazing technology to build photographic quality mosaics out of teeny, tiny tiles. The result looks like tiny pixels in a photograph. Here are a few of my favorites.

Keep an eye out for Rock Art too, the brainchild of Artaic and Liquid Landscape Designs, where mosaics and rocks merge to make some pretty rockin' (get it?) sculptural installations.

art gone GREEN

We're definitely going to try and make a field trip to Charlestown to check out this exhibit that combines two things we love: art and green. The exhibit is at BHCC and goes on until December 4th. Gallery hours are MWF 10-5, TTh 10-7 and Sat 10-2.

November Rain(coats)

We got to work with a new photographer this week, Allie Cottrill, from Allison Cottrill Photography, for a website we're working on for Sophia D, a girl's raincoat company. Above is a sneak peek of some of her images. The raincoats, designed by founder, Jill Coppedge, are precious and preppy, and the girls were such good models, especially once they had a few smarties. It's funny to think we refer to this as "work."
Keep an eye out for the Sophia D site launching in a few weeks.
Overall, a winning collaboration.
