The MoMA is giving us just one more reason we need to open a New York office… Bauhaus,
Workshops for Modernity. Defined by MoMA, as "the most infuential school of avant-garde art, design, and architecture of the twentieth century, the Bauhaus was a vibrant laboratory for redefining artistic practice in the modern age," as designers we often refer to works produced then for inspiration today.
Their exhibit features over 400 works, ranging from furniture design to texture exploration produced during the workshop's 14-year existence, but honestly the website developed for the exhibit is just as amazing. If you can't make it to New York before Jan. 25th at least check out the site's timeline for a little history lesson and some amazing inspiration to get the design juices flowing in 2010.
