re-Kindle

Amazon is releasing the second generation of the Kindle this month. The price point is pretty high, but if you're a reader, I think it's well worth it. Kindle versions of books are often half the price of their tangible counterparts.
The smartest feature is the instant wireless connectivity. You don't have to find a hotspot. Amazon foots the bill for Kindle users to connect through Sprint's 3G wireless network. You can search for a book or periodical, purchase and download it in less than a minute.

Did you hear about the controversy surrounding the new Kindle? Some publishers are up in arms over the new Kindle's text-to-speech feature which they claim is illegal because it would make it possible for users to record the book and distribute it, thus competing with audio books.
