OUR Boston

I was in my local CVS last night and came across these postcards. They caught my eye because they aren't the typical tourist attractions chosen to depict our city. Instead, they very accurately capture what greater Boston is actually like.
Gretchen Schneider
and Erika Zekos began Greetings from Boston in 2004 as a public art project in cooperation with Citizens Schools' 8th Grade Academy. The student-artists were given disposable cameras and set out to show their Boston. The students represent Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, Roslindale, Hyde Park and South Boston.
The credit line in the back is simple,"I am Marcel, and I am in eighth grade. I live in Mattapan. This is MY Boston."

Greetings from Boston are 25¢/each at local CVS pharmacies. Proceeds go to Citizens Schools after school programs.
