Loopy.

I found this illustrator, Allan Sanders, when doing so research on "cryptozoology and bigfoot" for an upcoming project. You never know what you're going to find when you Google. Sanders racked up the cool points fast for me.
He's lives in the UK (50 points)
He illustrates pretty pink cakes by choice (300 points)
He makes a living illustrating (20,000 points)

Not quite what I thought I'd stumble upon in my search for bigfoot, but kind of a nice surprise!

TXTual Healing

For his MFA thesis at the Parsons Design & Technology program, Paul Notzold created a piece of performace/public art called TXTual Healing:
Using 'always on' technology, cell phones with SMS allow an audience to interact with public space through projections on the structures that surround us, like the facade of a building for instance. The Speech bubbles are positioned near windows and doors to encourage an audience to create the conversations happening inside. The public audience receives a flyer with a cell number and simple instructions. A participant sends a text message to the provided phone number and it is then displayed inside the speech bubble. Multiple bubbles may be used and the audience can direct their input to a specific bubble.

Cheers to Bier Paper

Have you heard of Bier Paper? Gmund's Bier line has been around since 1998.. right under our noses! The stock colors are named for classifications of German beer: Weizen-white, Lager-cream, Pils-mustard, Ale-rust and Bock-brown.

The coolest thing is the content—Bier Paper is made of:
40-60% Recycled beer labels
30-50% TCF (totally chlorine free) pulp
5-20% Beer drags (the waste material of beer production)

We're so finding a use for this.

WWF

This is one seriously kick-ass billboard. Refreshingly simple design which uses the sun to illustrate global warming.
I love anything that makes me go,"Why hasn't that been done before?!"
