There's a great article on Burt's Bees in The Times archive. We like to learn the history behind our favorite products.. turns out, Burt's is old school green. The company was started by a graphic artist and a bearded beekeeper named Burt. Go figure.

He made a visit to a local art supply store when I was in high school back in Florida. He was such an awesome man! I have a tee shirt signed "ride on" with a picture of him on a motorcycle. What a good guy!
